Essay

Research work was centered on the system of primary soil tillage in the crop sequence winter wheat - sugar beet. Standard methods of research had been employed. Aim of studies was to detect the most effective system of soil tillage in a crop rotation, which could increase the productivity of a lowland and ensure an increased reproduction of soil fertility with an improvement of physical properties and water-holding capacity of soil. A long-term testing of various tillage systems proved that combined plow-nonplus tillage was the most effective. This tillage system reduced the costs of technologic operations by 19.4 % and the expenditure of fuel and lubricants by 21 %. Research results have been practically employed on 180 hectares, Agriculture, Crop Production Systems.
