Essay

The dissertation is devoted to elaboration of original strategy for synthesis of novel acyclonucleosides types based on phosphonium derivatives of pyrimidine bases The convenient preparative syntheses of C5-phosphorylated 4,6-difunctionalized pyrimidines, in particular, some new types of phosphonium ylides of pyrimidine series were elaborated. Alkylation of 2-alkyl(aryl)-4-hydroxy-6-mercapto-pyrimidines 5-phosphonium derivatives was found to be of particular importance because of its high regioselectivity. Phosphonium synthesis of acyclonucleosides is a valuable addition to conventional approaches to these important bioregulators obtaining.
