3. Objects of researches were onion trips, modern pesticides. The purpose of researchey consist in study of biological features of the wreeker of a tobacco in conditions of west premountainous-littoral zone of Crimea Field and laboratry investigation methods. Crimea have been studied as conserrns its occurence and harmfulness in tobacco plantings in different cultivation arreas. Based on the investigation of the insect,s seasonal dynamics and its susceptibility to the above group of insecticides, onion thrips control in tobacco has been improved, resulting in reduced amount of treatment. Research results have been practically employed on 162 ha. The economic effect from the introduction of the improwed protective measures is from 358 to 574 hrn per ha. Tobaccogrowing.
