Essay

Peculiarities of firstly diagnosed lungs infiltrated tuberculosis have been elucidated and the function of external breathing (FEB) in the process of prolonged chemotherapy has been studied, is presented. Before treatment the disturbance of FEB was observed in 67,4 % of cases. After 3-2 months of chemotherapy normalisation of FEB indices took place, while after 4-6 months deterioration occured, caused by the negative influence of tuberculostatics, especially streptomycin sulfate, and marked residual lungs changes. The usage of streptomycin sulfate for more 2-3 months by of the pathology in question to be purposeless. Chemotherapy with the usage of prednisolone and "Polyphitol-1" influences favourably on 16,2 % the clinical and roentgenologic dynamics and promotes FEB stable improve- ment in investigated patients.
