Essay

The thesis is devoted to the modification of natural zeolites via solid-state ion exchange (SSIE) procedure. The main relationships of the SSIE reaction on the natural zeolites and optimum conditions of their modification have been established. The physico-chemical properties, crystal structure of the prepared samples, their structural sorption and acid-basic features have been investigated by variety of methods. Based on the results derived frоm the laboratory-scale studies, a new method for modification of the clinoptilolite tuff by cationic copper was developed and its optimum conditions were established.
