Korzh S. Investigation of radioprotective efficacy of ceruloplasmin.

The obtaining of ceruloplasmin and radioprotective efficacy of ceruloplasmin were the purpose of this in-vestigation. "Ceruloplasmin" drug influence on irra-diated animals survival, L-cells radiosensityvity and mechanisms of ceruloplasmin action on the system of lipoperoxidation of lipids after total x-rays irradiation in the wide range of doses were studied. The blood ceruloplasmin level was changing after exposure to x-rays at 1,3,5 Gy. Ceruloplasmin drug before exposure to x-rays was injected to rats. This increased the level of ceruloplasmin in the blood and decreased the level of MDA in the blood, spleen and liver of the exposed animals. Radioprotective effects of ceruloplasmin were shown in experiments in vivo and in vitro.
