The new clones of pea nodule bacteria with the property to form the effective symbiosis with pea plants under the condition of increased content of combined nitrogen in growth medium have been obtained by chemical mutagenesis. The preplant inoculation of pea grain by these clones increased the processes of nodule development, nitrogen ficsation and photosynthesis, that leeds to rise of the yield of pea grain and to improvement of the grain quality
