This dissertation is devoted of the theoretical and experimental investigation of the problem of professional self-education of the students of technical higher schools. Essence and peculiarities of this process are stated. Methods of pedagogical guidance of this process are theoretically reasoned and experimentally tested. Stages of guidance of students' self-education activity are determined. Dependence of the level of professional self-education of the quality of students training is stated. Recommendation for the organization of students' self-education activity are developed.
