Dissertation is dedicated to scientific research of the impact of the Asian financial crises on the establishment of the European monetary union. In the work the author studies the essence, causes and the effects of the crisis, analyses its transformations from currency through financial to general economic crisis. In the work the author also defined the impact of the crisis on the main components of the European monetary union and gave the range of the practical constructive measures which would assist in preventing future currency and financial crises.
