Essay

The dissertation deals with investigation of how the state of the interface between phases affects the prop-erties of p-Cu1.8S/n-II-VI-type heterostructures at ex-citation with ultraviolet and beta radiation. The gen-eration-recombination processes and current flow mechanisms are studied, as well as dependence of the conversion efficiency on the modification of interfaces between phases due to both the growth of nanomicron transition interlayers of variable composition and building of intermediate compounds of submicron thickness with small defect content in the space charge region.
