Khomazyuk V. Adaptive changes of the heart in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension

Dissertation is devoted to investigation of heart remodeling, adaptive heart changes and development substantiate tactics of follow up and treatment of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). At the first time conformities to natural laws of remodeling structures and functions of right and left ventricles of the heart in PAH and its interactions and interdependence with pulmonary arterial pressure are determined and picked out criterions which in full measure represent processes of heart remodeling. The natural development of chronic heart failure (CHF) in patients with PAH is determined and at the first time adaptive changes of right and left ventricles are compared with functional classes. Mode for diagnostics and tactics of follow up patients with PAH and prediction of severity of progression of CHF are developed. The results of the study have been implemented into practical work of the clinical hospitals.
