The thesis is devoted to theoretical and experimental research of UHF applicators of two types: resonator-slot and microstrip dipole-slot, with purpose of creation of small-sized antennas designed for use in radio-thermography systems. Methods and algorithms of calculation of such applicator characteristics and distri-bution of fields created by them in biological medium are developed. Regularities, connecting geometric sizes of applicator radiating surfaces, form of excitation field amplitude distribution and character of field distribution in biological medium are investigated. Possibility of resonator-slot applicators broadband matching with dielectric filling with use of coupling probe of compli-cated complicated geometry is researched and confirmed. Applicator constructions are proposed and experimental research of their characteristics is carried out
