Essay

The thesis is devoted to the structural-semantic analysis of dynamic space localization verbs (hereafter DSLV) of the French language as compared with Ukrainian. The thesis focuses upon the comparative typological studies of languages with different srtuctures as well as upon the research methods applied. The level of investigation into DSL verbs in both French and Slavic linguistics has been determined. The microfield structure for the verbs under analysis in both French and Ukrainian languages is studied in the comparative aspect. The structural semantic characteristics given in the thesis resulted in singling out typological structural semantic models of DSL verbs, basic for comparative studies in different languages.
