Essay

An integrated process of the blast furnace air heating has been imp roved reducing the specific consumption of coke, fuel, electric energy, refractories. The analytical-digital method of calculating the heat-and- mass exchange processes in the blast furnace stoves (BFS) has been upgraded. The BFS brickwork stability under variable operating conditions has been estimated. The hydrodynamic method of deter -mining the BFS lining gas tightness has been improved. The relation between the pyrometric combustion coefficient, heat availability factor and efficiency has been determined. Methods of drying, reheating and operation of the BFS and their components have been improved. A relation between the NOx concentration and the operating condi tions has been found. Economic effects have been obtained.
