A research Object - US East-European policy at the end of the Cold War. The Aim of the research - to determine and analize the main changes in US East-European Policy in the context of transformation of system of international relations in 1989 – first half of 1990. The Methods of research. Principles: historical, objectivity, multifactor, detalization; methods: common-science: historical and logical; common-historical: synchronistic, problem-chronological, historical-comparative, historical-genetic, retrospective. Theoretical significance and the novelty. For the first time complex research of transformation of US East-European Policy in the period of 1989 – first half of 1990 has been taken. The practical results and novelty. A complex of different English-language sources, a great majority of which were for the first time used in Ukrainian historical science, was analyzed. There were published 6 articles on the theme of research. A subject and degree of introduction. Specialized course “Social an d Democratic Movements” was tought. The Sphere of usage. Teaching courses of history and political science, in futher research work, for forecasting of US foreign policy, for publications and educational supplies.
