Essay

Research subjects: White Muscat, Pinot franc. Research onjectives: Investigation of a possibility to influence grape quality via timely and dosed irrigation carried out according to different physiological algorithms and aiming to enable the formation of favorable enologica conditions of vintage material. Methods: Conventional methods of research applied in viticulture. Theoretical and practical results: As a result of the introduction into practical use of irrigation regimes using phytomonitoring of leaf water potential in view to maintain the desired water status of grape plants which enables the formation of required parameters of quality of vintage material, sugar content of berries was increased by 1-1,5 g/100 cm3. Novelty of introduced: Variations of parameters of grape quality by means of phytomonitoring of water status of grape plants and maintaining it in the desired regime were obtained for the first time. A possibility to influence the formation of quality of vintage material througt irrigat ion according to different physiological algorithms was established. A method for the rapid evaluation of a cultivar's ability to withstand stress load was developed. Implementation degree: The irrigation regimes were introduced into practiiical use on the P.Osipenko state farm (Nakhimovski region of Sevastopol) throughout an area of 5 ha. Effectiveness: The annual economical effect is 32 (Cabernet Sauvignon) and 62 (Bastardo magarachski) hrm per ha. Sphere, sector of implementation: Agriculture, viticulture.
