Guzhevs'ka N. Clinical efficacy of using multipurpose phytogenous medicines in the combined treatment for generalized periodontitis.

The dissertation is devoted to the questions of substantiation and efficacy assessment of using phytogenous medicines in the combined treatment for generalized periodontitis. The data are represented on the population requirement in the treatment for periodontal diseases and association of their incidence with modern factors, such as growth in somatic morbidity, non-full fledged nutrition. A simple and accessible method was worked out and substantiated for the combined treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis, using GERELO, SVITANOK and VITAPECTIN phytogenous medicines possessing anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, sorption, antioxidant, membrane-stabilizing, immunomodulating, detoxifying and repair/regeneration-stimulating effects. It was shown that using a set of phytogenous medicines in the treatment for generalized periodontitis had not only immediate clinical effect, but also facilitated long-term remission, prevented the disease progression, reduced medicamental load on the patient orga nism.
