Gumovs'ka I. English Legal Terminology in Texts on Economics: Origin, Derivational and Semantic-Functional Aspects.

The dissertation is concerned with the study of modern terminology and the processes of terminological migration, in particular the functioning of legal terminology in economic texts which comprise monographs, educational literature, periodicals and documentation. The genesis of English legal terms in economic discourse is investigated, their semantic evolution is studied, their derivational analysis is carried out. Derivational models of nouns, adjectives, verbs and word-combinations are examined. Some problems connected with the functioning of legal terminology in economic discourse and semantics of legal terminology in the structure of economic texts are investigated.
