Essay

The dissertation is devoted to improvement of iron deficiency status diagnostics, vitamin and microelement deficiency in young children as well as to pathogenetic explanation of measures for optimization of latent iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia pharmacotherapy. It is established that latent iron deficit is followed by ferrokinetic disorders, increase of protoporphyrin level, decrease of retinol, tocopherol, ascorbic acid, thiamine, riboflavin and selenium supply. These homeostasis disturbances are mostly marked in children with associated pathology and in children to 12 months of age. Multitubs is a drug which completely corrects vitamin and microelement insufficiency in children with latent iron deficit, and its administration in combination with ferroplekt eliminates micronutrient insufficiency and hematologic manifestations of anemia in the majority of patients. Use of sylard increases the efficacy of treatment in children with iron deficiency anemia resistant to the abovementioned th erapy.
