Thesis is devoted to the problems of forming, placing and forecasting of the districts with heightened content of methane in coal-beds in Krasnoarmeiysk geological-industrial region of Donbas. The local conformites of change of gasogenity in coal-beds and content of free methane in them within the bounds of the region are established. The influence of geological factors on the local conformites of gasogenity in coal-beds and on the content of free methane is determined. The prognosis criteria for determination of perspective districts for extraction of methane from coal-beds are substantiated.
