Object of investigation: undoped and copper-doped lithium tetraborate single and polycrystals. The aim of investigation:To study the effect of deviation from stoichiometry and copper concentration on the luminescent properties, to find the local trapping levels рarameters as well as the temperature influence on the recombination processes. Methods and facilities for investigation: Thermostimulated and X-ray luminescence, computer simulation, PC-based automated setup. Theoretical and practical results, new features: The automated setup for complex luminescent studies has been developed, the optimal copper concentrations have been found, the reason for the irreproducibility of the doped polycrystals properties has been elucidated, the local trapping levels parameters and the temperature effect have been found. The degree of implementation: planned. The field of application: semiconductor electronics, material science, thermoluminescent dosimetry.
