Objects: rare gases and nitrogen. Goals: determination of connection between the cluster size and its structure, explanation of mechanism of creation of cristal phase. Methods: electorn-diffraction investigation. New results: in the cluster beam, where the size of cluster greater 1500-2000 at/cl, the crystal aggregations are dominant, whereas for smaller size - icosahedral. We were first, who observed stacking faults, verified a hypotheses of de Waal as to the dominating role of kinetic contribution to transformation of icosahedral structure into cubic one. For the first time we found that with the growth of nitrogen clusters takes place the following structure change: icosahedral/alpha-phase/nitrogen/ beta-phase.
