Essay

The thermal, spectral and pressure dependencies of refractive indices, birefringence and birefringence sign inversion for LiKSO4, (NH4)2BeF4, RbNH4SO4, RbKSO4 and K2Ca(SO4)2.H2O crystals are investigated. The new isotropic points and phase transitions, the baric constriction of the incommensurate phase, the baric displacement of the point of birefringence sign inversion are found, and the baric dependencies of the phase transition are investigated.
