Essay

Influence of residual stresses in surface layers, which had been obtained by PVD methods, on changing of static strength of materials has been investigated. Experimental results on increasing of multicyclical fatigue resistance by the way of optimum choice of multilayered - multicomponent PVD films are presented. The problem of increasing of life time for brittle tool ceramic has been worked out.
