Essay

A calculating - experimental method has been proposed and applied to estimate parameters of cyclic fracture toughness of heat resistant alloys. A criterion taking into account complexity of influence of thermal mechanical loading on the fatigue crack growth has been proposed. Using the proposed criterion, good correspondence of the predicted and experimental crack growth rates has been obtained. The possibility to estimate fatigue limit based on threshold value of stress intensity factor has been shown.
