Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to issues on theoretical study and experimental investigations of the possibility to increase freight cars draft gear capacity due to use granular structure. Granular structure frictional energy absorbing device with addition of the special lubricant as stuff has been developed and made draft gears with granular booster have been developed and made on its basis. Static, pile driving and shock testing of those devices has been performed. The structure used in the granular booster has been investigated. Mathematical model of lamellar spring and friction draft gear with granular booster has been offered it shows the processes arising when the device operates accurately enough. Longitudinal dynamics of the trains equipped with experimental draft gears during transient state of movement has been tested.
