. The thesis contains the results of the studies of phase equilibria in the systems based on the ternary halides A3B2C9 (A-Rb,Cs; B-Sb,Bi; C-Br,I). The phase diagrams have been established for 12 quasibinary systems containing the starting components which have only one different element. Crystal structure of Rb3Bi2I9, which is of a new type, has been investigated using X-ray single-crystal techniques. Crystal structure of Rb3Bi2Br9 (orthorhombic structure type Cs3Bi2Cl9) has been determined by X-ray powder diffraction method. Unit-cell parameters of other ternary halides A3B2C9 (A-Rb,Cs; B-Sb,Bi; C-Br,I) have been calculated. The relations between crystal structures of the Rb3(Cs3)Sb2(Bi2)Br9(I9) ternary halides and the type of physico-chemical interaction in the quasibinary systems based on these compounds have been established.
