The subject of the research is structures of steel shells of zero and negative Gauss curvature; the purpose is research into strain-stress state of steel shells of zero and negative Gauss curvature under local loads; methods of the research is analytical and numerical methods for solving problems of contact interaction between shells and supports. The offered procedure of estimating strain-stress state of shells within the area of contact with intermediate supports enables us to rationality design buldings providing the preset durability and reliability. The outcomes of the work are introduced into design of the subfaculty of Metal and Woden Constructions of Kharkow State University of Building and Architecture.
