Dyachok V. Sources about Ustym Karmalyuk and opryshky movement in Podokkya regijn (1813-1835)

The thesis deals with actual problem in Podollya region and Ukraine history - studyng the spe-cific social phenomenon of opryshky movement and ascertaining the role of its most outstarding repre-sentative U. Karmalyuk (Karmanyuk). For the first time, the research of the problem stated is made in complex, based on the great amount of documental, narrative and folklore sources. Not only the frend of development is investigated, but also territorial localisation, the staff of Karmalyuk's partners and their victims, social and ethnic frend of opryshky's actions is elucidated. The thesis also attempts to determine the character (essential formal and guantitative characteris-tics) of Ustym Karmalyuk's and his partner's activiti to observe the dynamics of varios manifestations of opryshky's actions during 1813-1835 and in some particular periods and years.
