Essay

The thesis is devoted to the solution of a inverse magnetostatic problems relative to magnets for a charged particle accelerator. The build-up of flat field source with the help of pole shapes formed by smooth curves is considered. The conformal map of area 0<Im(z)<H on a strip with arbitrary boundaries without intermediate mapping to a half-plane is obtained. The influence of various sites of a pole on a field distribution is analysed. On the basis of the obtained analytical expressions relating the pole shape to a field, the design of a pole of a dipole and quadrupole for modern accelerators is analysed. The results of calculations coincide with calculations on numerical programs and measurment
