Essay

The possibility of usage different systems glasses for liquidphase sintering of silicon carbide was established, and optimal proportion of "silicon carbide - glass" mixture was obtained; the compositions of technological compatible with silicon carbide by the base properties glass-bondes (in systems MgO-Al2O3-SiO2, MgO-CaO-Al2O3-SiO2, MgO-Al2O3-SiO2- ZrO2, MgO-CaO-Al2O3-SiO2-ZrO2) have been developed; the peculiarity of processes, which occured during the sintering of silicon carbide glass-ceramics were obtained; the influence of conditions and regimes of the "silicon carbide - glass" mixture grinding, antifriction additions and temperature - time regime of burning on the sintering and properties glass-ceramics was established. The silicon carbide glass-ceramic materials were industrial tested as seals, and the high exploitation characteristics were obtained.
