Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of the physico-chemical basics of the creation of periclase-spinel materials using compositions of the MgO – Al2O3 – FeO – TiO2 system with a given thermoplastic matrix, which has an increased adaptive ability to preserve the integrity of the material and the operational reliability of refractories under sign-changing conditions and high-gradient thermal loads. The object of research – the physico-chemical processes of directed formation of the phase composition and thermoplastic structure of periclase-spinel refractories based on the MgO – Al2O3 – FeO – TiO2 system. The subject of research – patterns and peculiarities of phase and structure formation during firing and running of periclase-spinel refractories, which determine the formation of a complex of given properties and performance characteristics.
