The isothermal sections of the phase diagrams of the {Ce, Gd, Y}-{Zr, Ag}-In ternary systems have been constructed at 870 K. 50 new ternary compounds have been obtained in these and the related RE-{Au, Pt, Pd, Ni, Co}-In (RE is rare earths) systems. For 44 of them the crystal structure was determined. Six compounds are the representatives of new structure types: Ce2Au3In5, La3Au4In7, Gd3Pt4In7, CePt2In2, Ce12Pt7In and Sm12Ni6In. Results of studies of the magnetic susceptibility, magnetization and resistivity indicate LaAg6In6 та YbPdIn2 compounds to be diamagnetic, while CeAg6,4In5,6, PrAg6,4In5,6, PrAg6In6, NdAg6In6, Ce2Au3In5 to be paramagnetic. The EuPdIn2 compound shows ferromagnetic ordering. Cerium is trivalent in CeAg6,4In5,6 та Ce2Au3In5 compounds. Europium and ytterbium are bivalent in EuPdIn2 and YbPdIn2 compounds.
