Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigation of plasma resonance that is excited in isolated granules of third group metals and tellurium. It is shown that simultaneous excite of both absorption bands is possible when film consists of two non-interacting layers. It is shown that highfrequence band is related to natural electron oscillations in isolated granules. Plasma frequency of investigated elements is calculated. It is shown, on example of tellurium, that behavior of plasma absorption band is the same as in case of metal granular films, when interband absorption band lay lower than plasma resonance bands. A granular films that have anisotropic plasma resonance band is obtained. Electron microscopy showed that such samples consist of chains of granules. This anisotropy is related to existence of the chains.
