Essay

Object of research: British literary tale text viewed as a semantically double-plane matrix-text that interacts with the folk tale tradition. Aim of research: To study the means of verbalizing intertextual interactions between folk and literary tales in the frame and body of the text. Results and novelty: 1) the paper presents the first complex investigation of intertextuality realization in the British literary tale as a semantically double-plane matrix-text; 2) the folk tale is for the first time investigated as the main pretext, that forms the second semantic plane of the British literary tale text; 3) Fairy-tale formulae and characters' speaking nominations are for the first time analyzed as the folk tale intertext in the British literary tale at the level of linguo-stylistic means of text organization; 4) for the first time componental analysis of fairy-tale formulae and characters' speaking nominations is carried out. It enables a new approach to stylistic analysis of the linguo-creative activity of an author, working with a stereotyped text. Sphere of usage: courses in stylistics, text theory, lexicology, specialized courses in the theory of intertextuality, linguo-stylistic text analysis.
