Essay

The decay parametric instabilities of plasma with ions of one and two kinds in the field of strong electromagnetic pump wave with a finite wave length was investigated. The formalism of research of this instabilities was worked out. The investigation of linear and nonlinear stages of decay of pumping wave in ion-cyclotron and lower hybrid ranges of frequencies in the plasma with ions of one and two kinds was carried out. The increments and instability saturation level owing to a nonlinear frequency shift were estimated.
