The paper is devoted to comparative synchronistic research of the phonetic structure and lexical semantic system of the Turkish and Crimean Tatar literary languages. Following the analysis, the integral and differential features of these cognate languages were found out in the sphere of vowel and consonant sounds; phonetic system peculiarities of the compared languages were researched in the thesis paper. For the first time in the thesis paper the development of the Crimean Tatar literary language is divided into periods on the basis of documentary materials and the facts, and also the steps of drawing together and divergence of the Turkish and Crimean Tatar languages are revealed regarding the phonetics and vocabulary systems.
