Essay

We revealed the role of monoamines (MA) in the regulation of endocrine glands to change during prepubertal ontogeny in cockerels (Gallus domesticus); this confirms the participation of MA in the forming of new functional connections in neuroendocrine system. Effects of MA treatment is observed in all studied glands from 10-day-old birds. It is suggested that MA take part in neuroendocrine regulation as early as in neonatal cockerels. The most expressive responses of the endocrine glands to pharmacological stimulation or blockade of MAE receptors are found as follows: adrenal and thyroid - from 10 days of postnatal life, testes - from 1-2 months of life.
