Essay

The dissertation deals with the investigation of essence and sense of the legal status of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, its functions, competence, role and place in the mechanism of state power. Complex critical analysis of the normative and legal regulation and of the practice of Constitutional Court of Ukraine activity is made. A number of proposals for improvement of the legal status of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and organization of its work as well as of the legal regulation of judges are suggested. Conceptual provisions and conclusions on the analysed issues are formulated.
