The thesis is the complex research of the civil-political positions of the Ukrainian orthodox, catholic and greek-catholic clergy of the Right - coastal Ukraine in the end of the 18th and the middle of the 19th centuries. Basing on the broad sources author makes analysis of the participation of the church in the Polish and Ukrainian national-liberation movement on the Right - coastal Ukraine and tries to investigate the governmental reaction on this and the participation of the clergy in the activities of secret societies on the Right - coastal Ukraine in the mentioned period.
