The dissertation is dedicated to the study of European political thought in applied aspect of the problem of Ukrainian statehood revival. The basis of statement and development of this problem in European political thought has been studied. The main aspects of problem consideration, which were the basis in analyzing the Ukrainian issue by European political thought; their interconnection has been determined; the foreign vision of the independent Ukraine's place on European continent has been explored. The research is based on original sources of European political thought of the beginning of ХХ century.
