Essay

Object: power in the information age. Objective: to reveal the basic components of power transformations in information epoch and apply them to systematic development of conceptual aspects of model of political and power adaptation in Ukraine in relation to conditions of modern challenges. Methods: general and special methods of cognition, in particular: systemic, structural-functional, comparative, institutional, historical-genetic, critical-dialectical. Theoretical and practical results, scientific novelty: dissertation is the first complex study of basic components of power transformations in the information age with their application to system development of conceptual aspects of the model of political-power adaptation in Ukraine; for the first time own model of analysis of political and power components in the information age is proposed and substantiated, content of which is in solving the dilemma between technological and value components of human activity; it has been proven that power in the information age is primarily associated with the ability to create new cultural codes, which are then used for construction of new, often virtual, political reality; it is proved that methodological tools of communicative measurement of power allow to study transformations of power in the information age through multifactorial approach; the work of axiological meanings of political entertainment, carnivalization of political space are clarified; typological models of society's entry into the information age in the political-power context are developed; methodological parameters for assessing the condition of power transformations are identified; author's extended definition of political engineering is formulated; the specifics of power factors that will contribute to political adaptation and stabilization of communicative components and selection of axiological meanings in direction of forming a common socio-cultural field in Ukrainian society as a guarantee of successful response to challenges of information age is defined. Have been further developed: understanding of freedom as an important axiological meaning of information age; clarification of specifics of levels, forms and meanings of identities in the information age, principles of formation of social hierarchies and elites, features of "digital divide". Practical significance: received results can be used in scientific and research areas for further development of provisions on issues of systematic analysis of power transformations in the information age, political and power adaptation; these results are addressed to heads and specialists of state authorities, politicians, on improvement of program aspects of stimulation of stabilization processes in Ukrainian society. Scope of application: in educational and methodical work for teaching courses in the fields of political science, social philosophy, in the preparation of textbooks, manuals and other educational literature.
