The dissertation work is devoted to a problem of theoretical and experimental research the improvement construc-tion of a barrel root heads cleaner. In the work technologies and maсhines for removing tops from root heads are analysed and ways of increas-ing of the quality of work and reducing material capacity are desided. The dynamic model of barrel cleaner replacement on the root heads is worked out and of its rational parametrs and conditions of work cleaner is substantiated. The test of the experimental example of the barrel cleaner has confirmed its workability and efficiency.
