P'yatakova G. The Prose of M.D.Choolkov in the context of the novel creating of the XVIII-th - XIX-th centuries.

The dissertation is dedicated to the research of M.Choolkov's prose works in the context of novel genre, to the defining of its position in the literary process as it initiated the realistic life novel and social life novel traditions in Russia. The peculiarities of such forms of genetic-contact connections as the borrowing, the following, the adaptation, the allusion, the parody, which occur in Choolkov's novels of "Peresmeshnik" and "Prigozhaja povaricha" in the focus of the research. The studying of interaction of the prose of Choolkov with that of V.Narezhny, N.Gogol, A.Pushkin, F.Dostoevsky, M.Saltykov-Shedrin, M.Leskov, I.Netchuy-Levitsky enabled to prove their many-sidedness and significance for the development of Russian realistic novel.
