The thesis contains a complex of theoretical and practical issues in the field of crimi-nal law and criminology dedicated to problems of combating the crimes in the sphere of ille-gal handling of weapons, ammunition and explosives. Special attention has been paid to analysis of the juridical characteristics of the corpus deictic. The organizational - legal grounds directed at the activity of the Public Prosecutor's and Internal Affairs bodies in preventing the abovementioned criminal acts have been ex-pounded.
