Lomachyns'ka I. Orthodox monks in Ukraine as a public phenomenon.

The dissertation is devoted to the religious - philosophical analysis of the problem of orthodox monks as a public phenomenon in Ukraine. It is investigated the social foundation of orthodox monks in our society and its transformation in Ukraine. The change of social status of the orthodox monks is analyzed in community under influence of genesis of social and political process in our state. The influence of orthodox monks on the formation of cultural and social environment of a certain historical epoch is stated in it. The importance of orthodox monks in economic development of the state is investigated. The specificity of monks role in its interaction with the state is determined. The social influence on the formation of spiritual environment of the Ukrainian orthodox monks is analyzed.
