Essay

The thesis is devoted to the research of the historiography of Ukrainian revolution. The main groups of historiographic sources in the history of Ukrainian revolution had been revealed, systematized and characterized. The thesis demonstrates the negative influence of ideological and political dogmas and prejudices on the development of the objective knowledge in the history of the national liberation struggle. The thesis has also analyzed comparatively the contribution both Ukrainian and foreign researchers to the study of political, socio-economic, military, cultural, educational and state-building processes in Ukraine during the period of 1917 to the beginning of 1918.
