The dissertation reviews the conceptional and aesthetic situation in Ukrainian literature during the first two decades of the XX century taking into account formation of organisational metastructure, creation of mass art, criteria strengthening for aesthetic values of art professionalism for provinciality elimination and integration into world art. The paper contains periodization of literature process of the specified years based at the logic of organisational development and conflicts within the world of literature, formation of modern structure of national culture and its style streams. V.T.Gasanova in her dissertation analyses the consolidation process of writers' energies according to the social principle, opposition between populism and modernism as one of the characteristics of literature polemics in the twenties that made a noteable mark both at the recognition of writers' styles and at the organisational and art processes in the Ukrainian literature, development of series of literature organis ations; exanimes neoclassics' aesthetic concepts and literature preferences in the context of internal literature process in the 20-ies.
