KOMLEV A. Designing of removable bridge dentures and their clinico-experimental assessment

The dissertation deals with the designing of removable bridge dentures with an elastic membrane. They allow to utilize the alveolar process tissues as an additional intermediate support and to exclude the necessity of preparing abutment teeth. The areas of removable bridge denture bases were determined in various defects of dentition. The conditions under which the elastic properties of the material are retained due to the limitation of its squeezing within a reversible deformation as well as its isolation from an ag-gressive influence of the mixed saliva were found thanks to the results of physical and chemical studies of the stomatologic plastic PM-01. An effect of mechanic loading on the process that lead to untimely uselessness of the dentures made from the elastic plastic was revealed. Introduction of the developed con-structions and removable bridge dentures and recommendations for their constructing speaks for applica-tion of bridge dentures in case of a decrease in abutment teeth paradontium fa tigue strength and in an in-crease in the length on dentition defects. It also allows to exclude preparing of the abutment teeth. The clinical and functional assessment of the developed design of removable bridge dentures which took three years testifies to their efficacy in prosthetics of patients who have the included defects of dentition on the lateral sites.
