Uzlyuk T. Foreign Trade Relations under Conditions of System Transformation of Economy of Ukraine

This dissertation covers significant issues of foreign trade relations of Ukraine in the period of transition to market economy. The present state of foreign trade of Ukraine and factors affecting it have been analyzed in this work. A model of foreign trade optimization and development is offered in the dissertation. Special attention has been paid to analysis of mechanism of foreign trade relations in Ukraine, and its principal features have been determined. This study is based upon analysis of institutional and functional structure of executive and legislative bodies and normative and organisational ensuring of foreign economic activity and instruments affecting foreign trade transactions. Important features of development of foreign trade of Ukraine under conditions of system transformation of its economy and principal trends of foreign relations have been determined in the thesis. The model of optimisation of development of foreign trade of Ukraine has been elaborated in the work. It envisages th e implementation of such projects as "Improvement of Production Competitiveness and Strengthening of Export Potential of the State", "Reinforcing of Social Orientation of Economy, Introduction of New Competitive Consumer Goods", "Realization of Power Protection Model of Economy Development", "Regional Integration and Improvement of Access to the World Markets", "Development of Export Potential", "Export Strategy Elaboration", "Membership in International Economic Organizations". These projects are aimed at the elaboration of an efficient system of foreign trade relations promoting integration of Ukraine into the global economic system".
